Visit the Minnesota Freedom Band at Booth 24! We will also be marching in the parade on SUNDAY at 11:00am. The Twin Cities Pride Festival is Minnesota’s second largest festival and the largest FREE Pride festival.

TWIN CITIES PRIDE PARADE

 

SUNDAY, JUNE 30, 11AM - 2PM

 

The MARCH/PARADE starts at 3rd Street & Hennepin Avenue and proceeds down Hennepin to Spruce then into Loring Park.

 

In 1982, Tom Valach and several of his friends were walking in the Twin Cities Pride Parade. One of them remarked, "What this parade needs is a marching band." That sparked the idea to form a small band, and the next year they led the Parade at the annual Twin Cities Pride Festival. Marching in the parade is an honored tradition, and the band has continued to thrive and grow over the decades.

Join Lakewood on this special day of commemoration to honor and reflect on the service of veterans who fell in the line of duty, while also remembering those who are loved and missed from our own families.
